WASHINGTON, DC) –The DC Department of Public Works (DPW) is continuing its amended trash and recycling collection service for its residential customers. Post storm collection service resumed Thursday, January 28, and today’s collection is currently in progress. Any missed locations for Thursday and Friday will be collected Saturday and Sunday. Normal collection service will resume Monday, February 1.

DPW has enlisted additional contractors to ensure routes and public liter cans are properly serviced.

The trash collection schedule for the remainder of the week is as follows:

- Friday: Service attempts will be made.
- Saturday & Sunday: Possible service attempts on Thursday and Friday routes.
- Monday: Regular service will resume.
