(WASHINGTON, DC) Mayor Muriel Bowser has directed the DC Snow Team to go into a full deployment Monday, February 8.  The District will deploy more than 200 plows by noon, based on predictions of a system that begins with rain during the day but may change to snow possibly in time for the evening rush hour. Accumulations are not known at this time but there could be 1-3 inches overnight Monday night into Tuesday, and the morning rush hour also could be affected. The low temperature Monday night is predicted to be 32F.

(Washington DC) – El Departamento de Obras Públicas (DPW, por sus siglas en inglés) continúa con el servicio modificado de recolección de basura y reciclaje para los clientes residenciales. Después de la tormenta, el servicio de recolección se reanudo el jueves 28 de enero, y la recolección del día de hoy está en progreso. Si no alcanzamos a llegar a algunos lugares el jueves, estaremos haciendo recolección el sábado y domingo.  El servicio de recolección normal se reiniciara el lunes 1 de febrero.

With schools closed on Tuesday, January 26, DC Public Schools will be serving breakfast and lunch to students and families at 10 schools across Washington, DC. Breakfast and lunch will be served from 10 am – 2 pm at the following locations:
 

DPW will collect trash and recycling from its Thursday and Friday customers on Friday to ensure the week's collections are completed before Saturday's snow storm.
